MONTROSE – The Montrose Farmers Market is getting ready for the coming season with opening day Saturday May 14; the market is one of a handful in Colorado that open early in May. The Market moves back downtown this year, to South 1st and Uncompahgre at Centennial Plaza, after spending last season at the Oxbow Crossing Shopping Center.
The Montrose Farmers Market is accepting vendor applications for all market days: Saturdays, May -October, Wednesdays, June- September, and Thursday evenings at Main-in-Motion, June 2 -August 18. Vendors selling meats, eggs, baked items, and value added food products should make sure all health requirements and permits are in order by contacting Montrose County Food Service Inspector Vera Stouffer at 970/240-5000.
