TELLURIDE – Longtime Telluride resident, and Vietnam veteran, Kevin R. Smith, 66, died Monday, June 28, at his Shandoka apartment. Smith, a well-known and liked carpenter and painter, was best known to local children as "Santa Claus."  His manner of death is presumed natural, pending autopsy results.
