It was San Miguel County’s biggest Household Hazardous Waste disposal event ever. Thanks to everyone who brought stuff, keeping toxic waste out of the landfill. You are onboard with the wave of the future.

Thanks: John, Bill and Jim at Viking Rental for donating the fork lift; Bruin Waste Management; Sunrise; Town of Telluride; Town of Mountain Village; Deanna Drew, Town of Rico and Dolores County; DeeAnna and Milt at the San Miguel County Fairgrounds; Wilkinson Public Library; Alpine Lumber; and KOTO Radio.

Special thanks to these volunteers for their dedication and hard work: Bobbi T. Smith, Leo VanDerBosch, Adam Geeter, Jason Marchand, and Coop.

Our disposal contractor, Clean Harbors’ crew is passionate about their work. They know that they are working to protect the future. They are impressed with the level of participation from our community.

Chris Smith, San Miguel County Environmental Health Dept.
