On behalf of the Ridgway Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I want to say thank you to all who took part in the open house at the Ridgway Visitors Center on June 9. To the community and chamber members and local businesses who took time to stop by and say hello, as well as the generous and dedicated locals who donated their time and in-kind services to make this event a success – we certainly could not have done it without you!

The open house allowed us to showcase the newly reorganized Visitors Center, to introduce our business development representative Caitlin Switzer, and to highlight some exciting local businesses via the multi-media presentation system donated by generous Ouray KOA owners David and Deborah Brunovsky.

Parched throats appreciated the variety of delicious brews from Colorado Boy Brewery – the root beer was gone in an instant – and the salsa and bean dip from True Grit Café were absolutely delicious. We especially thank our volunteers and the hardworking folks at the Ridgway Railroad Museum, and everyone who has helped to keep us going over the years.

If you couldn’t make it to the open house but want to take part in future RACC events, please stop by, or renew your membership at one of the special rates available during our current membership drive. Remember, a strong chamber of commerce contributes to a healthy community. Let us know how we can better serve you!

With gratitude,

John Lorimer, President, RACC Board of Directors
