In March I learned that I was the lucky recipient of a Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities small grant to support the short film I’d proposed, The Perils of Pollination, about the disappearance of honeybees. Because of TCAH’s support, I was able to create and finish the film in time for Mountainfilm this year, which screened it during the Friday Symposium on extinction and at other times in the program. I’m especially grateful to TCAH for making funds available for small grants, and to Mountainfilm for supporting local filmmakers. As an artist and as someone who has been involved with TCAH and arts issues over the years, it’s nice to acknowledge that some things are working. The money granted to TCAH is not available elsewhere. It’s critical to launching new programs, bringing projects to fruition and enriching the Telluride community.
Many thanks for this.
