Alice Dorothy Alix, age 82, of Grand Junction passed away Sunday, Nov. 16 at her home.

Alice was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Gilman, Colo. to Joseph and Rosie (Guliani) Lustick. She spent her childhood in Ouray, where she also graduated from high school. Alice was a graduate of Barnes Business College and Recordo Beauty School. Before moving to Grand Junction, Alice lived in numerous towns throughout Colorado, Utah, California, and Nevada. On Aug. 16, 1952, she married Paul Henry Alix. He passed away on July 22, 1977.

One of Alice’s greatest joys was helping at her church.

Survivors include two nephews, Edward L. Neilson, Jr. of Fruita and Dr. Paul Neilson of Meeker; niece, Lorri Turner of Big Piney, Wyo.; and a sister, Flora (Ed) Neilson of Fruita.

A visitation will take place Thursday, Nov. 20, from 3-5 p.m. at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. The funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
