Discoe Continues Hot Streak at World Cup in Spain

SIERRA NEVADA, Spain - Telluride freestyler Joe Discoe closed out the World Cup season with a career-best finish in singles moguls earlier today, placing 11th overall with a score of 22.81.

Discoe finished behind only Jeremy Cota among the Americans. Cota finished 10th, Olympic bronze medalist Bryon Wilson wound up 16th David DiGravio finished 26th, David Babic 33rd and Michael Morse's run was not scored, placing him dead last in 35th.

The result comes just one week after Discoe's previous career-bests on the World Cup circuit in Are, Sweden, where he finished 14th overall in singles, and 8th in duals.

France's Guilbaut Colas won the event in Spain with a score of 25.66, followed by Australian skier Dale Begg-Smith in 2nd and France's Pierre Ochs in 3rd.

American Eliza Outtrim won the event on the women's side with a score of 24.38, followed by Margarita Marbler of Austria in 2nd and American Heather McPhie in 3rd.
