Editor:

The excellent reporting by Beverly Corbell on the November Ballot Issues cannot go without mention.

Three-thousand entities in Colorado will be affected if these measures pass, each of those entities is limited to $50 in informing the public. As a private citizen, it is difficult to try and inform just the 34 entities in Montrose County. Many of the entities, Towns and Districts, I have contacted were not aware of the existence of these issues, let alone their potential affect. Only two newspaper articles on the Issues had appeared in the past 30 days, and they were on the Front Range.

Beverly worked diligently to gather the facts about these issues, including over a weekend. She knew right up front I am opposed to the Issues and sought out independent sources to confirm my assessment so her story would be balanced and factual. I received e-mails from the Front Range when the article appeared as several groups are tracking articles pertaining to these Issues.

Beverly and The Watch have performed a tremendous public service and I thank you!
