NorAm Event at Apex Mountain Resort

BRITISH COLUMBIA -- Telluride Freestyle Team members Lindsey Cannon and Wade Parkinson, as well as Telluride-turned-Steamboat freestyler Lane Stoltzner, and U.S. Team members Joe and Jimmy Discoe all competed in the third of four North American Cup (NorAm) tour events at Apex Mountain Resort over the weekend.

Telluride Freestyle Team member Zak Watkins was also supposed to ski in the event, but ran into complications and was not able to compete.

The event featured one day of single moguls on Saturday, Feb. 27. and one day of dual moguls on Sunday, Feb. 28.

Stoltzner and Cannon finished 10th and 11th in singles on the women's side. On Sunday, Stoltzner finished 16th overall in duals, while Cannon failed to make the round of 16.

On the men's side, Jimmy Discoe made the podium in third overall in singles, while his older brother Joe ended up eighth, and Parkinson finished 14th. Jimmy moved up to second overall after duals on Sunday; Joe took ninth and Parkinson 15th.

The whole crew; the Discoes, Parkinson, Watkins, Cannon and Stoltzner, will all be competing at the final NorAm event of the season this weekend in Steamboat on March 4 and 5. Telluride Freestyle Team member Keaton McCargo will also be making her NorAm debut.
