My daughter takes a few classes at the Ridgway Elementary School. Today, when I was dropping her off, she realized that she was wearing a skort. It did not reach past her fingertips, so it was in violation of the dress code. She has been warned that she will not be able to participate in school anymore if she is in violation again, so we had to turn around and go back home. She is crying again (this has happened before), because of the school administrators. No decent person would see what she was wearing as inappropriate. It is incredible to me that the community allows the school to make such counterintuitive and inconvenient rules.
