The Topaten Touring Center, located at the top of Lift 10, is open for snowshoe and Nordic ski enthusiasts, with naturalist-guided snowshoe tours and approximately 10 kilometers of groomed Nordic trails. A warming teepee serves as base camp for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing opportunities throughout the Magic Meadows and Prospect Basin area, with restrooms, Crescent Moon snowshoe rentals and a deck with picnic tables available.
Nordic lift passes are sold at all Telski ticket locations while tickets for guided snowshoe tours are sold only at the Mountain Village ticket office. Snowshoe tours are $35 per person, $20 for season pass holders; a Nordic lift pass for Lift 10 access to Topaten trails is $10. Snowshoe tours are offered at 10 a.m. daily from the Mountain Village Gondola Plaza.
Also at the top of Lift 10 are one-hour snowmobile tours offered by Telluride Snowmobile Adventures, beginning Saturday, Dec. 25.
