Carter was the residence manager for Exclusive Resorts at the Heritage Crossing in the Mountain Village.
Carter was found by his good friend and business associate, Cody Crowe.
Carter leaves two daughters, Courtney, 20, and Jessica, 22, both in college. Crippin Funeral Home is handling arrangements for his body to be transported to McCook, Neb., where Carter was born and raised.
