Participants will take an educational journey into the basics of Chinese medicines and herbalism; Yin/Yang theory; traditional Chinese physiology; Chinese disease theory and pattern diagnosis; and basic herbology and formula construction. The basic concepts will be covered to help participants learn how to improve their own health, as well as the health of those close to them. Classical Chinese herbal formulas will be created and sampled during class.
Instructor Damsky graduate from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, then moved to New York City and worked in several high volume multidisciplinary health care clinics along with establishing a busy private practice. Damsky has also worked as a macrobiotic counselor, Shiatsu practitioner and is an authorized teacher of Ashtanga yoga in the lineage of Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. Damsky has been a Colorado resident since 2002.
