"This is a great perk for local travelers," said Tom Hess, President of the Telluride/Montrose Regional Air Program. "Due to the support of our revenue guarantee program locally, we've been campaigning for these fares for quite some time. We're happy to see that American Airlines will be giving this program a try."
To take advantage of the savings, customers must visit www.aa.com and either sign-up for the AAdvantage program or update their AAdvantage account with their local Montrose or Telluride-area address and zip code. Local residents who already have an AAdvantage frequent flyer account with American are immediately eligible for the fares. AAdvantage members who have to change their account to reflect a current local address and zip code, or those who sign-up for an AAdvantage account by Dec 4, will be eligible for the fares for bookings made on or after Dec 7.
"AAdvantage is the world's largest frequent flyer program," said Tim Smith, American's Director of Corporate Communications. "Signing up is quick, easy and free. We'd also encourage residents to sign up for AA.com email products, such as AAirmail and NetSAAver Fares, to receive other special offers for local residents."
Pending seat availability the lowest fares will be available for travel from Montrose Tuesdays through Fridays and returning to Montrose Saturdays through Wednesdays. These fares will be available throughout the ski season from Dec. 15 through April 9, based on availability. Other restrictions may apply
