Tuesday is International Women's Day, and with it comes Telluride's second annual presentation of Eva Ensler's Vagina Monologues, a fundraiser for the San Miguel Resource Center. Tonight, 26 local women will perform the play at the Michael D. Palm Theatre at 6 p.m. A collection of women’s stories with titles like “Hair,” “The Flood,” “The Vagina Workshop,” “Vagina Happy Fact,” “My Vagina Was My Village,” “The Memory of Her Face,” and more, the production promises to make you laugh, cry, scream and think. The play is being staged in Telluride and in thousands of other locations around the world in an effort to end violence against women. Tickets are $15 and are available at or at ReStore Our World. For more information about Vagina Monologues and International Women’s Week in Telluride, contact the San Miguel Resource Center at 728-5842.
