One Telluride would like to thank Village Market, Clark’s Market and Mountain Village Market for donating gift certificates as attendance incentives, for our adult English students. Students qualified for a drawing for free groceries at one of the three local grocery stores by attending at least 75 percent of their classes through the halfway point and then on to finish the semester. The majority did so.

We are beginning our third semester of English classes for adult non-native speakers. After two semesters, seventy percent of our students have advanced on to their next respective levels. Our goal is to continue with that progression as we continue to focus on the importance of attendance. We have tested and registered 40 students for our current semester, which began November 2, and 15 more study with volunteers in Norwood. Attention to attendance will be more of a focus than ever. If you have a friend or an employee that is taking English classes, please encourage them to keep coming to class and by all means speak English with them!
