RIDGWAY – The Ridgway community will welcome artists and art enthusiasts to Hartwell Park August 8 and 9 for the 25th Annual Ridgway Arts and Crafts Rendezvous. In celebration of this landmark year, Weehawken Creative Arts is excited to not only take over the event, but also to expand the festival's family and children's programs.
Weehawken will be adding several exciting and fun options for kids and families to the already great entertainment mix, which includes live music performances throughout both days. In addition to the live music, there will be free balloons for kids, giant inflatables, two craft tables, face painting, the fire department train, and a family creation and competition tent.
With all of these additions, Weehawken is seeking volunteers to help with balloons, manning the inflatables, kids arts and crafts, family activities and more. Volunteers can opt to work in blocks of time, or the really ambitious can sign on for a full day. Any help will go a long way toward making the event a success.
To volunteer, contact Ashley King at 970//318-0150 or wcaouray@yaoo.com. For more information on the Rendezvous, visit www.weehawkenarts.org.
