Visitors and locals will have a chance to meet and greet San Miguel County’s most talented artists and craftmakers while browsing among booths featuring original work in glass, ceramics, metals, fiber, leather, wood, jewelry, and fine art during this one-day celebration. The event ties together with the Telluride Wine Festival’s weekend celebration of wine tastings, seminars, reserve programs, cooking demonstrations and winemakers’ luncheons.
TCAH Executive Director Renee Marr and Telluride Wine Festival’s Festival Manager Matt Bradley agreed that wine and art make a wonderful pairing.
“The Telluride Wine Festival has long been a Telluride summer favorite,” Marr said. “The combination of celebrity chefs and wonderful wine in our picturesque town makes the event unique and popular. We are pleased that the Wine Festival asked us to add a celebration of our local artists to round out the weekend’s events. The event will provide us with a wonderful venue for local artists and artisans to sell their original work.”
“The Wine Festival is thrilled to be teaming with TCAH and bringing Telluride Non-Profits together for the benefit of the community and guests to town,” Bradley said. “The addition of the Arts Fair will give local artists exposure right in the center of town.”
TCAH is currently accepting applications for art exhibitors. The early application deadline was May 25th, but due to off-season traveling, TCAH will be accepting late registration based on space availability through June 20th. Artists and craftmakers wishing to participate with an exhibit booth are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible, as space is limited.
