OURAY – Are you a fan of the television show America's Got Talent? Just wait until you see the kind of talent that can be found right here in Ouray.

The WISE Club (Women in Support of Education) is initiating a fundraising talent show to subsidize its scholarship fund for local students. Residents of Ouray County are urged to strut their stuff in Ouray's Got Talent, Aug. 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ouray School. Tryouts to help determine the order of the acts for maximum entertainment will be held on July 27 at 7 p.m. The entry fee is $25 per act.

Tickets to Ouray's Got Talent are $5. For an additional $1 per vote, audience members will be able to cast as many votes as they wish for their favorite act.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Emma Lou Wylie Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a local female college student. Smaller awards are presented to each of the county’s high school valedictorians.
