DMEA 2009 Board Election Returns Announced

MONTROSE – Following the annual meeting of the Delta-Montrose Electric Association, DMEA’s election credentials committee announced returns determining three of the nine DMEA board positions.

Election credentials committee chairperson Judy Ashby reported that 3,905 total valid ballots cast in the election.

In DMEA District 5, incumbent Brent Hines received 2,816 votes and beat Tom Lovato, who received 807 votes.

Unchallenged incumbents Marshall Collins and Ken Norris received 3,180 and 3,267 votes respectively and will continue serving on the DMEA board.

The new DMEA board for the upcoming year will convene on Friday, June 19 for the election of its officers.
