23rd Sunday in the Park Celebrates American Freedom With a Gospel Message

RIDGWAY - The community is invited to celebrate American freedom at the 23rd Sunday in the Park, next Sunday, July 5 at Ridgway’s Hartwell Park. A free family gathering, festivities will begin at 10 a.m.

Patriotic and inspirational music will be provided by local musicians as well as the USJC Choir and singer/guitarist Del Smith. The group Rock Creek & Company will also perform, consisting of Don and Carolyn Stiltner, Mary Page and Eric Stuckey.

Rev. Dick Engdahl of the United Church of the San Juans and Pastor Roger Kriegshauser of Ridgway Community Church will share the gospel message, “Hope in a Hopeless Time,” followed by a barbecue, which is free to those who attend the service. There will also be games for young and old alike.
