SILVERTON – The lineup for the third annual Silverton Jamboree has been set, with hot bands promising a cool time high up in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado June 12-14.
The action starts this Friday night, with a performance by James and the Devil at the Grand Imperial Hotel at 8 p.m.
The festival grounds at Kendall Mountain Recreation Area open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday for two full days of music. Late night music junkies will get their fill at juke-joint gigs at the Pride of the West, Miners Tavern and Handlebars.
“We’ve got a great line up and the weather is shaping up to cooperate,” says festival volunteer Nicole Bellman. “Get your tickets now, if you haven’t already.”
The Silverton Jamboree promotes and preserves the musical and cultural heritage of the Silverton community through live music and events. Tickets for the third annual event are available online at the festival’s website, www.silvertonjamboree.com, or at Southwest Sound and Animas Trading Co. in Durango. Camping will be available on the camping grounds.
