TELLURIDE – Longtime local Peter McGinty recently acquired sole ownership of two well-known Telluride businesses – Elevation Vacations, a professionally managed luxury vacation rentals and lodging services company, and Telluride Property Services, an estate management business.

Elevation Vacations opened its doors in 1996. McGinty joined the business in 1998 as its first employee, and in 2002 became co-owner. Since then Elevation Vacations has grown and become a well-established business in the community, managing an extensive assortment of luxury vacation rentals in Mountain Village and the Town of Telluride.

Telluride Property Services, originally Telluride Services, was founded in 1985 and was Telluride’s first estate management business, locally providing care-taking, concierge, maintenance and housekeeping services exclusively for second homeowners. McGinty became an owner of this business in 2011 and is now the sole proprietor with a staff that includes several long-time employees including general manager Corey Carlstead.

“It feels good to know that a ski bum who puts in the time and effort really can make it work here,” McGinty said.
