OURAY – The Mountain Air Music Series is pleased to present Miss Emily in concert this Friday, Nov. 8 at O’Brien’s Pub and Grill in Ouray from 8-11 p.m.

This intimate concert is a fundraiser for the 2014 Mountain Air Music Series, comprised of four free outdoor concerts held on Thursday evenings each June in Ouray’s Fellin Park.

Miss Emily appeared as an opener for the extremely popular March Fourth Marching Band the opening week of the 2013 Mountain Air Music Series. She wowed the crowds in the park and rocked the post show at O’Brien’s afterwards.

“Miss Emily is one half classic soul and one half modern funk/pop diva sensation,” one music critic wrote. “Sprinkle that with a little jazz sugar and you have a dynamic, fiery lady with a vintage sound that’ll curl your toes.”

Donations for the 2014 Mountain Air Music Series will be accepted at the door.  Additionally, door prizes and silent auction items will be available with all proceeds directly being used to bring quality musicians to Ouray in June 2014.  Don’t miss the chance to own the beautiful guitar or poster that was signed by every band member who performed during the 2013 series. These collector pieces will be featured silent auction items.

The Mountain Air Music Series is made possible by an unprecedented level of collaboration and support from the Ouray Hot Springs Pool, the City of Ouray and the Parks and Recreation Committee who worked tirelessly with the Ouray Chamber Resort Association to bring this series to life. The 2013 series saw between 1,000 to 1,500 people in the park dancing to the music, supporting the fundraising efforts and local non-profits in the beverage tents and enjoying the flavor of the local food vendors.
