OURAY – Memorable music from the movies will be the program for a concert in the Wright Opera House, performed by the 40-piece Montrose City Band on Sunday, April 26 at 3 p.m.

The program includes music composed by Williams, McCartney, Mancini, Webber, and others and will feature a special performance by the saxophone ensemble. The Montrose City Band is an all-volunteer group conducted by Toby King. They perform four concerts each year at the Montrose Pavilion and have appeared in Ouray County Performing Arts Guild Concerts in the Park in Ouray. This is their first performance in the historic Wright Opera House.

Advance tickets ($10) are now available at Buckskin Bookstore in Ouray, Cimarron Coffee and Books in Ridgway, and from John Ast (local coordinator and band member) at 325-7255.

The band is contributing half the ticket proceeds to the Friends of the Wright Opera House for the fund to purchase the building.
