The Ridgway Ouray Community Council is pleased to announce that since November our membership has increased 21 percent to over 200 members.  This is a huge increase, and we are grateful to our new members and always appreciate the dedication of our existing members.  They have cleaned up highway 550 which we adopted many years ago and have conducted another successful Parking Lot Sale.  It is our hope that the proceeds from this event may one day be used to establish scholarships for students in both communities.  ROCC has also joined the Adopt-a-Park program and will be caring for Hartwell Park when the program gets started.

It is unfortunate that ROCC has been the object of many unpleasant, uniformed and in many cases unsubstantiated comments.  We are a group of individuals who have varying ideas and beliefs about many of the county's issues. It is our mission to build, nourish and protect the healthy spirit of our county.  ROCC is dedicated to quality of life issues that will help shape the future of Ouray County.

If you are interested in learning more about ROCC or becoming a ROCC member go to our website at ROCCNET.ORG.

Thank you,

– Roze Evans, ROCC Vice-President
