MONTROSE – Montrose residents have the opportunity to clear out their clutter this month during the annual curbside spring cleanup.

The city will pick up just about any type of trash starting this week through April 17. Old appliances, even washing machines and hot water heaters, old furniture, lawn and grass clippings, construction materials, and more will be picked up curbside throughout the city limits.

The only items that won’t be picked up are tree limbs, routine household trash, hazardous materials, paint, and electronic devices.

Collections for areas north of East Miami Road and South Fifth Street will be made through April 10. Areas south of those streets will be picked up April 13-17.

The service is provided for residential sanitation customers only; businesses are excluded. For more information call Montrose Public Works at 240-1840.
