RICO – The next time you plan to have dinner at the Rico Hotel’s Argentine Grille, arrive early or plan to stay late so you can peruse the Rico Artisan Gallery. Or simply stop by if you’re traveling through between March 20 and April 6, when the new gallery will have work on display.

The new venture features work by Rico area artists Cody Lyon, Thomas Williams, Bob and Jesse Robertson, Matt Downer, June Carter, and others. The artists decided to come together to transform the Rico Hotel into a local artists gallery.

Established in 1925, the historic Rico Hotel once housed employees of the Rico Argentine Mining Company. The restored hotel features charming rooms and a full service, fine dining restaurant. Located on the San Juan Scenic Byway, it’s a perfect stop off point for tourists and locals wishing to learn more about Rico’s history. Now you can learn about the local arts scene as well.

Tour maps are available at the Rico Hotel office or in the Argentine Grille. For more information, call 970/967-3000 or visit www.ricohotel.com.
