TELLURIDE – In an agreement that will be mutually beneficial for everyone involved, especially those attending the upcoming festival, the Telluride Brewing Company will be the official beer sponsor of the Telluride Jazz Festival.

The announcement was made last week by Jazz Festival Marketing Director Todd Altschuler, who said the festival has always tried to partner with a Colorado brewery. “We always look for local companies to partner with us and the Telluride Brewing Company was in a position this year to be able to come through and be our sponsor,” Altschuler said. “Their beers are amazing and our attendees will get the best beer around.”

And while those attendees will get to enjoy the new partnership, it will also provide the locally owned brewery an exposure it’s never seen before.

“We are really stoked they chose local,” Telluride Brewing Company’s head brewer Chris Fish said. “This is huge for us and the lineup this year is one of the best I have ever seen. I am super excited about it.”

Fish said the lineup of beers hasn’t been nailed down yet but expects the Locals’ Lager, the Bridal Veil Pale Ale and the award-winning Face Down Brown to make the cut.

This year’s Telluride Jazz Festival will be held in Telluride’s Town Park on August 3-5 with the Funky Meters, the Victor Wooton Band and Roy Hargrove among the performers.
