RIDGWAY – Public Art in Ridgway Colorado has finalized placement for its six initial pieces of outdoor sculpture in Ridgway’s town core.
Look for PARC's “Just Bearly,” by Grand Junction sculptor Scott Shaffer,near the kiosk in Hartwell Park; Ridgway Sculptor Michael McCullough’s “Red Fox,” near Amber Boutique on South Lena Street (McCullough’s “Wheeler” will remain on North Lena near the Firehouse); Ridgway Sculptor Bill Noland’s “Steppin’ Out,” in the little Aspen Grove south of the Gazebo in Hartwell Park; “Poco a Poco Se Va Lejos” by Ridgway sculptor Pokey Park, north of the Gazebo in Hartwell Park, near the water fountain and, finally, “Brandy,” by Paonia artist Mary Zimmerman, on the southwest corner of Cora and Clinton streets, in front of Colorado Boy Brewery.
“We are pleased and excited at the momentum that has been established, and we look forward to welcoming pieces by other local sculptors in the future,” says PARC Co-Chair Lucy Boody.
