Cruttenden, 25, of Norwood, Colo., and Mesa, Ariz., was killed Sunday, Nov. 7, alongside Army Spc. Dale J. Kridlo, 33, when insurgents attacked their unit in Ban Kunar, Afghanistan.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory, in Delta; a burial service with Full Military Honors will be held at The Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m. A memorial service will follow at the Hotchkiss Community United Methodist Church, in Hotchkiss, at 2 p.m.
Norwood was home to Cruttenden, who enjoyed spending his time outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking, snowboarding and logging. He especially enjoyed time spent with his family.
Cruttenden is survived by his daughter, 2-year-old Dusti-Rai Ferrin, of Nucla; his parents Yvonne and Scott Featheringill, of Hotchkiss, and Steve Cruttenden and Annette Roth, of Lake Odessa, Mich.; by his brothers, Austin Cruttenden of Fort Collins; and Spencer Featheringill and Dakota Featheringill, both of Hotchkiss; Tavis White and Dustyn White, both of Mesa, Ariz.; by his sisters, Savana White and Jennifer White, both of Mesa, Ariz., and Alicia Cruttenden of Hotchkiss. He is also survived by his grandparents Lynn and Shirley Wencel of Apache Jct., Ariz., and Frank and Pat Cruttenden of Delton, Mich.
