SNOW RUNNERS — The Winter Rim Romp, a 5-mile snowshoe race along Rim Road at Black Canyon on Jan. 8, is a brand new event at the national park sponsored by the San Juan Mountain Runners that will benefit the Montrose Community Foundation. Snowshoes will be provided, and Park Rangers will also conduct for shorter snowshoe hikes along park trails for kids, families and those who want to go slow.
