Sheldon Smith, who came home last week from a year-long our of duty in Afghanistan with the 928th Area Support Medical Company of the Colorado Army National Guard. The soldiers came home to a heroes’ welcome at Montrose Memorial Airport Thursday, Jan. 12, and a flag-waving parade Friday along Main Street to Friendship Hall, where they celebrated a belated Christmas with their families.
