correction
CORRECTION – The above photo of Red Feathers (Echium amoenum) mistakenly ran with a story about native plants in the June 3, 2010 issue of Lawn & Garden. A 2010 Plant Select recommendation, the plant is actually from the Caucasus Mountains in Eurasia. It is hardy in zones 3-9 (up to 9,000 feet) and likes full sun or part shade.
