From Spain to Lebanon: The Warm, Lusty Wines of the Mediterranean

Open to all package holders

Join Tara Q. Thomas, senior editor, Wine & Spirits, takes attendees on a trip around the Mediterranean, docking in ports known for great wines. Stops include Priorat, Spain, for meaty reds; Roussillon, France, for sun-warmed dessert wines and Provence for gutsy pinks; and Italy's Corsica for its unusual quaffs and its "boot" for a bevy of great drinks. Greece and Lebanon reds are included. greatest reds.

White Burgundy - World's Greatest Expression of Chardonnay

Open to all package holders

The Noble Chardonnay is grown all over the world, with many different expressions. But the greatest expression of all comes from the home of Chardonnay in Burgundy, France. Master sommelier Richard Betts will lead you through a flight of these aromatic and mineral rich chardonnays.

Friday Winemakers Luncheon

Open to Friday package holders and patrons only

Steve Olson and Doug Frost are back. Join the Festival's Master of Ceremonies Olson (AKA wine geek) and Master Sommelier Frost for another exploration of fine wines and food. Bryan Moscatello, named one of 2003's Best New Chefs by Food & Wine, will provide the culinary delights.

In the Kitchen with Jimmy Bradley

Open to Thursday package holders and patrons only

Learn the secrets behind the success of four of New York City's hottest restaurants. Bradley shares secrets so home cooks can add the Big Apple's big touch to everyday cooking.

2:30-3:30 p.m.

The Noble Red Wines of Italy

Open to all package holders

From the cool hills of Piedmont to the warm shores of Sicily come some of the finest red wines in the World. Join master sommelier and Italian wine expert Damon Ornowski for a tour of the noble red wines of Italy.

2:30-3:30 p.m.

Spain: Old World — New Wines

Open to all package holders

Spain has been producing wines in traditional methods for thousands of years, but a new breed of wine makers has emerged on the market with a brand new style. Join legendary master sommelier Fred Dame in this tasting, featuring new and innovative wines from the old vines of Spain.

4-6:30 p.m.: Grand Tasting

Open to all package holders - also available a la carte to the public

This tasting is truly grand, with hundreds of wines, fabulous appetizers and products. Town Park plays host to this popular event.

4 – 6 p.m.: An Afternoon of Decadence

Available to patrons, and a la carte to weekend package holders

Indulge with everything decadent – desserts, cheese, dessert wines and after- meal liquors. Reserve early – this event sells out every year.

Sunshine in a Bottle - The Wines of Australia

Open to all package holders

Australia, the world's oldest continent, produces wines that are clean and bright, with fruit. Master sommelier and Australian winemaker Richard Betts leads a tasting of his favorite wines of Australia.

10-11 a.m.

Future Perfect - The Language of

New South African Wine

Open to all package holders

South Africa is one of the oldest wine producers in the New World and the newest of the world's democracies. Since the birth of the new South Africa in 1994, the wines have only been partially embraced by wine consumers. Master sommelier and master of wine Doug Frost will show you some fantastic wines that come in colors of red and white.

Winemaker's Local's Luncheon

Presented by Ironstone Vineyards

Open to Saturday package holder only

Join Telluride's own local chefs for an innovative culinary four-course menu to delight and intrigue your palate. This is about real food and real wine, hosted by master sommelier Damon Ornowski and Telluride's own Kenny Koda. This luncheon is a great introduction the vast world of food and wine, and your sure to meet a few locals too!

Bryan Moscatello of Adega Restaurant + Food Bar in Denver will delight with his extraordinary creations.

Food and Wine from Italy Open to Patrons Only

Remember last year's Greek Food and Wine seminar? Back by popular demand, this year, participants will be visiting Italy. Join chef Luke Palladino and master sommelier Rob Bigelow for this special tasting of food and wine. This event is not a full luncheon, but will feature samplings of Palladino's exquisite culinary preparations paired with some of Italy's finest wines.

2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

California Superstars

Open to all package holders

Rob Bigelow, master sommelier and Beverage Director of the Bellagio Hotel, will host this tasting of super star status wines of California. With its many micro-climates and multiple styles, California superstars can come from many places. Learn what's hot and what's not for 2005.

3 – 4 p.m.

Port - How Could We Forget

Open to all package holders

Port, the world's greatest fortified wine, is produced in many colors and styles, but we seem to have forgotten how great port wines can be. Master sommelier Fred Dame will show you why these wines should be put back in the limelight.

4 – 6 p.m..

Reserve Tasting

Additional fee for this event

Taste the best the festival has to offer during the Second Reserve Tasting of the weekend. The wines here are a new adventure, completely different from Thursday's gems. There is an additional fee for this event. Tickets for this event can be purchased when sending in your Weekend package registration form or a la carte on line.

4 - 6:30 p.m.

The Toast of Telluride/Mountain Village

Open to all package holders - also available a la carte to the public

Stroll through the quaint Town of Telluride or visit the elegant town of Mountain Village via the complimentary gondola with glass in hand to enjoy amazing appetizers and fine wines from around the world at galleries, restaurants and retail shops. Many shops offer discounts to Wine Festival goers, so bring your sunscreen and Christmas list (only 183 days left to shop) and enjoy the day!

6:30 –10 p.m.

Exclusive Patron's Dinner and Annual Auction

Open to patron pass holders only

It's a duel – oops, a dual – featuring master sommeliers Fred Dame and Richard Betts as they decide which wine pairs best with each course! Dinner is prepared by New York City's Jimmy Bradley, owner and chef of four critically acclaimed restaurants — Red Cat, Harrison, The Mermaid Inn and Pace. This is a night not to be missed and only available to our Patron pass holders.

Gourmet Farewell Brunch Open to all package holders

Meet in Town Park, kick off your shoes and take in the breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains one last time at our grand finale. Enjoy gourmet cuisine from our very own Telluride restaurants coupled with excellent wines from our Festival Wineries.
