Aronson goes on to thanks sponsors “for your vital continuing support, and ask that you get your commitment check in soon.”
Checks in the amount of $250 must be made out to The Heart of Chamber Music Institute and sent to Josh Aronson, 35 East 20th Street, New York, NY 10003.
Aronson reminds subscribers that their “subscription and sponsorship helps pay for our scholarship program and free kids concerts, as well as underwriting the cost of bringing these great musicians to Telluride each year.
“And it's largely deductible.”
Aronson has some exciting news, as well: “Philip Glass has written a violin sonata for Maria [Bachman] that she is premiering in New York this month. That work and other new pieces that Philip is creating for us will be premiered in Telluride during our 2009 festival. Philip will also give a solo concert lecture/demonstration and host a Q&A as an added bonus event this year.”
House concert dates at the Mai home are Wednesday, June 24 (moved up by one day to avoid a conflict with Winefest), June 28 and July 2. The Palm Theater concert is July 5. Glass will give a solo concert on July 3 at the Palm (part of the subscription price).
Kids' Concerts and Amateur Night dates will be announced; there will be a concert June 26, in Ouray, time and place to be announced.
Aronson urges anyone with questions to contact him at 212/253-6941, or visit Telluridemusicfest.com. Individual tickets will be available on tellurideticket.com, and adds: “We are grateful to the Telluride Foundation and CAASE for their grants this year.”
