“We’re very excited to be in Montrose,” said Jackie Schuiling, who owns the store with husband Dave. “Living in Placerville allows us to be in both stores consistently which is very important for delivering the customer service we pride ourselves on.
“We’re looking for feedback and welcome your thoughts and ideas of what you’d like from your local clothing and skate boutique.”
Montrose SlopeStyle offers a locally-owned, specialty alternative for shopping offering brand names and customer service not found in the big chain stores. The Montrose store offers clothing brands such as Volcom, Roxy, Element, DC, Vans, and Free People. It also has a full service skateboard shop offering all of the popular brands of decks, trucks, wheels, and accessories.
“We ask the locals who skate what they’d like to see offered in the shops. The popular brand names change constantly and we try to deliver what our customers want,” said Dave.
Montrose SlopeStyle is open seven days a week and is located directly across Townsend Ave. from Walmart in the Hawk Center. Look for the big orange SlopeStyle Funwear sign.
