As much as we hate to see him go, we all here in Ridgway wish Greg Clifton the very best as he moves on to the Town of Telluride to become their new Town Manager.
Greg has done an exemplary job for the Town of Ridgway these last nine years and he will be greatly missed. That said, one statement in your article last week needs to be corrected. Your article said that Greg will be taking a pay cut by accepting an annual salary of $107,000 with a housing stipend of $20,000 per year with the Town of Telluride. In fact, Greg's current salary with the Town of Ridgway is $78,000 per year, and no housing stipend, substantially less than what he will be paid in his new position. It's important to set the record straight.
