Well, I am home now after being out of country, in Costa Rica, from Feb. 7 to March 6, 2010. I received requested $30,000 last December. I immediately made plans to go to Costa Rica for my stem cell treatments. I can honestly say now the program was well worth every penny and more. I highly recommend this program in Costa Rica to anyone.
This was a very intense program of stem cell therapy and physical therapy. It was well organized, structured and performed in a very timely manner. My walking and talking have definitely improved. I am sure the two hour daily routine of PT had a lot to do with those improvements, but the word recall, memory, delayed swallowing, sleep disorder, and other small improvements can’t be linked to PT. The theory behind PT is that they will build up what you already have, isolation your weak areas, so the stem cells know what to repair or replace.
The medical staff and overall Costa Rican people were all so very friendly and helpful. Most people spoke English, there was never a communication problem. We always dealt and were transported by the same people, developing some strong bonds. The hospital was built by a group of doctors from Dallas, Texas, and the ICM clinic, in Costa Rica, is also run by a U.S. doctor. Over 70 percent of the patients who go down to the ICM clinic are from the states. Although, there are people from all over the world receiving these treatments. The ICM clinic is very busy and is booked out over six months in advance for treatments. They are very efficient with what they do, everything runs like clock work, almost never falling behind schedule and never making you feel rushed.
Transportation is always there to take you to and from appointments, and even on weekend tours of the country. The facilities are very modern, state of the art technology, and doctors well educated, congenial, and knowledgeable of their profession.
I felt very safe in the country and in the whole program. I can’t say enough about the ability of the PT girls, who were very kind and patient with me, but at the same time, very determined to get improvement from me. I am continuing a home program of PT now, and waiting and believing that I will receive more improvement as time goes on.
