Representatives from San Juan Realty, Re/Max Cimarron, United County Sneffels, Ridgway Investment and Real Estate, and Ponderosa Real Estate participated in the tour.
“It was an opportunity for each office to pick 10 properties to show the group,” Redmond said. “We all know our own listings but we need to get to know everybody else’s. Listings have changed since last year. It was great to get out and familiarize each other with what’s available. You can’t sell something if you haven’t seen it.”
Because the participating real estate brokers use an MLS that includes Montrose, they have the ability to participate in the sale of all properties in the area. Despite windy, unsettled conditions, the caravan of brokers visited numerous subdivisions including Log Hill Village, Divide Ranch and Club, Fisher Canyon, Alpenview, Waterview, The Pinyons on Log Hill, Enclave, Waterview Knolls, Waterview Cove, and a few larger parcels.
“We as a group feel this is more important that ever, so we can direct our potential buyers to the property that fits their criteria,” Redmond said. “We had 15 people participate in the tour and that is a great turnout for something like this. We had at least one broker from every office in Ridgway participate. It was a great turnout.”
After the tour, Ed Folga supplied the group lunch at his Willowcreek Crossing furniture showroom at 257 Sherman St. in Ridgway. Folga offered the brokers $50 gift certificates for potential buyers at a cost of just $10.
“Overall, it was a great day for everyone and we certainly want to thank Ed for lunch,” Redmond said, adding that real estate offices in Ridgway will be providing home tours throughout the summer, as well.
