NORWOOD – Lindsey Stindt, the daughter of Dean and Barbra Stindt of Norwood, has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for Adams State College.  Lindsey was a four-year starter on the Maverick Volleyball Team.  In the 2011 season, Stindt was the first girl in Norwood High School’s history to be named first team All-State.  All of her hard work has paid off in an athletic scholarship.

Stint was a multi-sport athlete while attending NHS, as a four-year starter for the Mavericks in basketball and as an all-conference performer, and, in spring, participating in track, where, in the 2010 season, she won the class 2A long jump and 300 IM hurdle State Championship.  In 2011, she was the runner-up in both the 100 and 300 hurdles.  She also ran a leg of the TNT girl’s 4X400m relay, which placed second at the state meet.  Stindt is the first individual female state champion in NHS history.

Stindt is currently locked in a battle with several classmates to be the class valedictorian.
