This past Wednesday morning the Telluride School District and Positive Alternative Team held a parent coffee on internet safety. I would like to thank Melissa Sumpter, San Miguel Resource Center; Sarah Lawton, Wilkinson Library, Christi Sandoval, Mountain Village Police Department and Chris Delaney-Hayes, Telluride School District Tech Department, for being a part of our panel and presenting valuable information to our parents. After attending the coffee parents were able to understand social networking sites, cyberbullying, internet crimes and how better to protect kids. Additionally, I would like to thank Mick Hill from the Steaming Bean for donating fresh, hot coffee for the event.

It is extremely important that we continue to pull together as a community to support our children and provide safe, positive events. Thank you again for all the support.
