Win Cash for An Award Winning Photo This Fourth of July
TELLURIDE – Win cash prizes this Independence Day in Telluride with the fourth annual Telluride Hot Shot Photo Contest.
“We are looking for dynamic photos that showcase Telluride’s unique July 4th spirit,” says Judy Kohin, executive director of the Ah Haa School for the Arts.
This will be the fourth year for Telluride’s Hot Shot Photo Contest. Together with the Nugget Building, the Watch newspaper, the Steaming Bean, Telluride Inside and Out, and the Telluride Fire Department, the Ah Haa School for the Arts will be awarding $500 in cash to the first place winner, $300 to second place and $100 to third place.
In addition, 10 honorable mention awards ($50 each) will be awarded.
A panel of judges will decide the winners based on artistic expression, creativity, originality, and the quality of the image. There is no entry fee. Submit your photo (only one submission per person) to telluridehotshotphotocontest.com.
There are just two simple rules: the photo must be taken somewhere in San Miguel County on July 4, 2013 and the photo must be submitted by noon on July 5th to be eligible for prizes.
Even if you don’t want to submit a photo, please go to the website to vote for your favorite shot and help determine the “Audience Favorite.” The Audience Favorite will receive 100 official U.S. postage stamps made with his or her image. All submissions will be looped on a screen in the Steaming Bean July 4 and 5 for everyone to see.
Go to the website telluridehotshotphotocontest.com to see the photos as they come in and look for instructions on how to vote for your favorite.
