GUEST COMMENTARY

We would like to invite you to an honoring ceremony for wild horses to be led by Douglas Spotted Eagle of the Northern Cheyenne and Mel

Lonehill of the Lakota Nation on August 29th, 2009.

The ride will be held from the Sage Creek Campground in the Custer National Forest up to the Dryhead Overlook where there will be

ceremonies blessing the horses and the land. We would be honored to have you and your friends join this special group for a profound ride bringing attention to the preservation of America’s Wild Horses.

This honoring ride comes as a response to the Bureau of Land Management’s plans to destroy the unique Pryor Mountain wild horse herd by removing 70 animals in early September. As you know, these

horses are beloved the world over and removing such a large number

would threaten their ability to survive into the future.

The Pryor Mountain wild horse herd is only one example of the

destruction the BLM has caused to these beautiful animals. Our goal of

the spiritual ride is to not only save this wild horse herd, but to

bring more attention to the issue at hand and save the wild horse from

becoming extinct.

You can join the ride either by horseback, on foot or in vehicles

For more information we invite you to contact us. We have also invited

another member of the Crow Nation, President Obama.

For more information please feel free to contact us.
