MONTROSE – Who says there’s nothing to do in town? This Saturday, you can find your own rhythm in a drum circle, share the exotic spectacle of a belly dance and renew your place in the universe.

In a world clouded by uncertainty, the need for thoughtful planning and decision-making is more pressing than ever – and opportunities for enlightened guidance will be plentiful at the Enlightenment Fair in Montrose, a rare gathering of professional Tarot readers and other intuitive workers.

The Enlightenment Fair brings together a host of consultants specializing in everything from Tarot and Medicine card readings to channeling, aura work, Reiki, graphology, and many other disciplines.

“It’s going to be fun,” said Lisa Thomason of Camina Intuitive Consultants, who is hosting the Enlightenment Fair with Kendra Gallegos of Canyon Creek Bed and Breakfast. “We will have eight readers of different kinds, and everybody is a professional; I have been doing this for 35 years.

“We will also have belly dancing, and a drum circle.”

All who have an interest are welcome, and readings are priced at $3 per minute.

This community has had similar events in years past, but it has been awhile, Thomason said.

“We decided it was time that this type of spiritual and health support was offered again in Montrose,” she said.

The Enlightenment Fair takes place Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Canyon Creek bed and breakfast, 820 Main Street,

“Kendra is an awesome person and she believes in helping people,” Thomason said.

After feeding the spirit, attendees are also encouraged to nourish the body with delicious offerings by Ginger Magnolia of Canyon Creek.
