Hope arrives every spring with the blooming of daffodils. Daffodil Days is one of the American Cancer Society’s oldest and most well-known fundraising programs. I encourage everyone to help color our region yellow with daffodils March 7, 8 and 9 in support of our commitment to preventing cancer, save lives and diminish suffering from the disease.
For a donation of $10, supporters will receive a bouquet of fresh-cut daffodils. Pre-order by March 5 at DaffyDays.com or email@example.com with your contact information and your order, or call 728-3706 with your contact information and order. Pre-order at the Happy Belli Deli in Norwood.
Daffodils will be available at four local locations, including:
Telluride/Mountain Village – Pick up pre-orders and purchases at Alpine Bank lobby at 120 So. Pine St. Wed., March 7, 1-6 p.m., and Thursday and Friday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Purchases at Telluride Bottleworks on San Juan Avenue.
Norwood – Pick up pre-orders and purchases at The Happy Belli Deli at 1610 Grand Ave. on Wed., March 7, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ridgway – Pick up pre-orders and purchases at Willowcreek Floral, 257 Sherman Ave., March 7-9, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Dollars raised through Daffodil Days enable the American Cancer Society to offer free programs and services that help people fight cancer with courage and optimism, by providing physical and emotional support as well as helpful financial information to ease the burdens of cancer. In addition, daffodil contributions provide much-needed dollars to fund groundbreaking cancer research, and educate people about the importance of cancer prevention and early detection.
Spring is just around the corner. Daffodils arrive next week!
