LAKE CITY – The eighth annual Lake City Wine and Music Festival will take place in the heart of the San Juan Mountains at the Lake City town park on Saturday, Sept. 20. Wines from over 30 vineyards will be sampled. Wine-tasting dinners will also be held on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 18 and 19.

The festival will feature the music of Chuck Pyle, Albert & Gage, Carrie Rodriguez, the Sisters Morales, and Alejandro Escovedo. Music between acts will be provided by Bruce Hayes. The music starts at 11 a.m. and the wine flows at noon. Beer from Durango’s Ska Brewing will also be available.

Tickets for music and wine and a hand-painted wine glass are $75. A music-only ticket is $50. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.

This is a rain or shine event. Festival proceeds will benefit the Lake City Prostate Cancer Awareness Fund.

City dwellers hope that this will be a good chance for visitors to experience historic downtown Lake City and the spectacular fall colors of the San Juan Mountains. For more information visit www.lakecitymusicfest.org
