TELLURIDE – The Telluride Choral Society’s annual WinterSing concerts provide great holiday fun to people of all ages. Always a popular event for the whole family to enjoy, this year’s concert is called ’Tis The Season, and includes an eclectic mix of holiday music, old and new.

Two concerts remain, Friday, Dec. 12 and Tuesday, Dec. 16 at Christ Church, 7 p.m.

The variety of music ranges from the traditional, with "Sleigh Ride," to the spicy, fun tongue-in-cheek set called "The Seasonings" by P.D.Q. Bach. Emma Gross has composed and arranged two pieces for Emanon; Brittany Altman will be singing "All I Want for Christmas is You", by Mariah Carey; and Omni Voce will do a medley of "Joy to the World" and "Jerimiah is a Bullfrog."

All the choirs will join together for the finale and perform a heart-pounding, feel-good rendition of "Sing Noel," a combo of "African Noel" and "Go, Tell It on the Mountain." All local groups will be singing, including the youth Choristers and the adult Chorale and Renaissance Singers.

The remaining two concerts are purposefully scheduled on off nights from other holiday events. The concerts are at Christ Church starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec.12 and Tuesday, Dec. 16. Tickets are available at the door, $15 for adults and $8 for students.

Come celebrate this holiday season with all the groups of the Telluride Choral Society as they present this program of warmth, laughter and cheer. For more information call the TCS office at 728-3411.
