The evening will be dedicated to the tall tales of motherhood, madness, and miracles. In the first hour, McHarg will read from Terra Firma, her forthcoming book about her own travels across the unsteady terrain of mothering (due out in 2012, by Counterpoint Press). She will also speak about the process of writing about the familial.
The remaining two hours will provide participants with the opportunity to explore their own writing and the telling of their own stories on the topic
