TELLURIDE – Cornerstone Colorado, the private residence and golf community between Montrose and Telluride, has hired Telluride Properties Managing Broker Stephen Cieciuch as its listing agent.

“I’m thrilled to be listing Cornerstone,” said Cieciuch, who together with his team (including Beckie Pendergrass, Patrick Pelisson, Tom Hess, Kiplynn Smith and Eric Saunders) is “rolling out new pricing this spring that will undoubtedly represent unsurpassed value for such a high- quality product.

“Our team will strive to increase awareness and sales for this luxury development,” he said. Cornerstone offers “Homestead” ranches ranging in size from one-fourth acre to over 100 acres, grouped around its Greg Norman-designed 7,945 yard par 72 golf course – a course Norman describes as “the best mountain golf course in the world,” and features 3,000 acres of open space, a wildlife and environmental management plan and 412 proposed Homesteads ranging in size from one-fourth acre to over 100 acres.

With 18 holes of championship golf, a 20-acre practice facility, activities for residents of all ages and concierge services, Cornerstone offers a variety of outdoor activities. Its golf course has been honored by Golf Travel and Leisure Magazine (Top 25 Best Golf Course Communities, 2009); Golf Magazine (Best New Private Course of 2008); GolfWeek (Best New Course in Colorado and Best New Course in the U.S.) and LINKS (One of the Best New Courses of 2008).

Cornerstone was developed by Hunt Realty Investments, Inc., a subsidiary of Hunt Consolidated, Inc., owned by Ray L. Hunt and family members, that focuses on real estate investment, development and management across the U.S.

Cieciuch, managing broker at Telluride Properties (TellurideAreaRealEstate.com), has worked in the Telluride real-estate community for 24 years, initially selling Telluride real estate from Aspen in 1987. Upon moving to Telluride in 1990, he opened Telluride Properties, working on the Ptarmigan Ranch, San Juan Ranch and Elk Creek Ranch developments and on home and land sales in Mountain Village, Sunnyside Ranch, The Preserve Subdivision, Sunshine Mesa and Wilson Mesa. KRYD-FM ‘The Ride’ to Sponsor Ridgway Balloon Festival

MONTROSE - Regional Radio station KRYD-FM ‘The Ride’ is a new sponsor of the Ridgway Balloons ‘n’ Varoooms Festival, scheduled for May 7-9.

“This [Montrose]-based station heard locally on 104.9 and 92.7 FM seemed to be a natural to support our event,” said event organizer Gary Woods. With its “vast coverage area and old-time rock ‘n’ roll format,” Woods said, “they are a perfect match for our nostalgic ‘Strolling Scones’ performances” and for the Classic Car Show. Latitude 38 Vacation Rentals

TELLURIDE – Longtime Telluride homeowners Kevin Jones, Levi Silva and Jay and Linda Hellstrom have launched a vacation rental company, Latitude 38 Vacation Rentals (www.latitude38vacationrentals.com), focusing solely on the rental market. Latitude 38 will work to secure loyal repeat renters, by offering homeowners “unprecedented care” for their homes, Jones says. The company has no real-estate component, and will focus on attracting families (instead of large groups) and “repeat-customer” renters, and on maintaining the owner’s asset “as if it were our own. Latitude 38 and the homeowner will work together, keeping the number of vacation homes at a manageable level “so as not to compromise our guests’ experience or the property owners’ satisfaction.” Latitude 38 will remain small but strong and focused on adding incremental value to the rental management choice for homeowners. www.latitude38vacationrentals.com
